Since the SARS epidemic and subsequent scare, there has been a shortage of thermometers. HIVOX ear thermometers were proven both essential and durable recently when people in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China were using thermometers up to 1,000 times-a-day in airports and at the entrance of buildings to check for carriers in order to prevent the spread of disease. In response to the worldwide shortage, HIVOX built high-tech facilities to increase the number of ear thermometers available on the market - facilities that are sophisticated enough to require a special room for calibrating thermometers to exacting temperature standards. Working to educate people on the reliability of ear thermometers, HIVOX has introduced the latest in technologically advanced thermometers for $19-$39.
